The Lord is good, merciful, and kind. He provides us with all we need, when we need it. Lending courage when situations are hard, comfort when we mourn. He makes all things possible and works out every situation for our good. We stand fully covered by His grace. He is ever worthy of our praise. Show some love. Help make it a beautiful.

I am simply praising God for the place I am in. For putting me here at this time, and allowing us to walk out the purpose for our lives along side Him. For blessing us, and for the hope filled future He has prepared for us. I love Him.

    1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

  • Colors in Combination (0) July 30, 2013

Colors can be combined to portray a story. Paring yellow and orange, speaks of a joy filled passion, or a renewing, and works well when paired with celebration songs, while gold, purple and blue are a great combination for pageantry songs about God’s Sovereignty.

Please note that colors and their combinations will hold different meanings for different people groups, and around the world. It is always good to know who and where you are ministering and how the colors and their combinations may be perceived or interpreted. For instance, for the Christian the rainbow is a symbol of God’s promise, so waving a rainbow flag may be a reminder for us, but there are other groups for whom the rainbow has a vastly different meaning.

Colors have meanings. There are many theories and good information out there regarding spiritual representations. Here is a quick list to get you started:

    White – Purity
Red – The Blood of Jesus
Purple – Royalty, representing the King
Blue – The Holy Spirit, also representation of royalty
Black – Can represent power. Can also be interpreted to represent sin depending on parings and presentation

Silver – Refinement, or refining. Represents the process of purifying
Gold РRepresentative of God the Father.  Riches, wisdom, and wealth
    Orange – Passion

    Psalm 18:49

Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.
  • Streamers in Motion (0) July 27, 2013

Streamers are generally used by the military as a show of honor, heroics, and of conquest in battle. In times past, conquering warriors would have strips of opponents clothing streaming off of them, to show that they were the victor and worthy of honor. Streamers are still an important part of pageantry as they are used to display victory. When we use streamers in praise dance, we too are proclaiming victory. We are displaying the honor of our Soon Coming King, the King of kings, who has given us the victory, making us more than conquerors in Jesus Christ.

  • Stationary Flags (0) July 25, 2013

Whether a flag is waved or stationary, there is a meaning. I think one of the most difficult concepts in choreography is stillness. Stillness is not nothingness. Stillness is active motionlessness, prepared energy, anticipatory action. When a flag is still, it demands attention. It both commands  respect and is a strong proclamation. It can be a beacon of hope, a show of strength, a claim of possession, or a symbol of victory. Every motion even stillness, speaks.

  • Flags, Banners, and Streamers (0) July 24, 2013
    Song of Solomon 2:3-5 (KJV)
4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.

Flags, banners, streamers, have always been symbolic tools to identify, and to proclaim something. They are a covering. When we watch the Olympics or some other international procession, we see each Country’s Flag being proudly carried in a show of national solidarity, or when a banner is carried in a parade, the organization is being shown, like wise streamers traditionally show rank, awards and honor of military personnel. Now when it comes to ministering with these instruments, we too are proclaiming something. Colors represent something as does position. When the instrument waves, it is both a celebration and a proclamation. All to bring honor and glory to God. So when we use flags, banners or streamers, we should keep in mind what we are proclaiming.

I praise God because He hears, and answers prayer. I praise Him for “satisfying my mouth with good things; so that my youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalm 103:5. I love how when I am at my weakest, He is strong in me, granting me the capability to do all things. The Lord is good!

    Nehemiah 9:5

Then the Levites, Jeshua, and Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabniah, Sherebiah, Hodijah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah, said, Stand up and bless the Lord your God for ever and ever: and blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise.
