    2 Chronicles 20:21

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the Lord; for his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Passion and Purity (0) July 6, 2013

When we stand before God, worshiping in dance, we are like a glass window. Others are able to see through us and view God. Our praise invites Him to shine through us. However, if we are living impure lives (in thought, speech, actions etc), then our glass becomes cloudy, and instead of seeing God, our own flesh becomes on display. This does not mean we need to be perfect, for none of us are, but we can surrender perfectly. By yielding to God, letting Him work on those things He wants to in our lives, by confessing and repenting of our sins which we knowingly do, we walk in the righteousness He has provided for us. We become pure.

I praise God for having blessed my family with life and health. I praise Him for joy filled days of sharing and spending time with those who matter most to me. And for peace.

What are you praising God for today?

We serve and are loved by a faithful God. Let us walk worthy of His love by sharing His love. This is a new day. Extend grace and mercy to others as the same is done to you, and in so doing, live fully free.
Morning by morning new mercies I see!

The Lord our God is our fortress and shield. Stand firm under His protection, rest well in His love. May you be at peace.
  • Tough Decisions: Love Generously (0) July 2, 2013

Love generously. We are all God’s creation. We chose praise dance because we are a passionate people. That passion translates in everything we do. We are expressive. Even if that expression culminates in disagreements…Love never fails. Extend that love and grace God has extended to us. Once decisions have been made, and change occurs, pour out your love on one another. Love can restore everything.

  • Tough Decisions: Cuts Hurt (0) June 29, 2013

As a dance leader, when dealing with praise dancers, we walk a tricky line. While we are all there for the purpose of yielding our gifts and talents to God, we are also all there, for our own different reasons. There may be times when issues arise, especially in the cases of growth, or when change needs to happen. In these situations especially, you will find that not everyone will agree with the decisions you are making. One way to help the situation is to keep the vision of your dance ministry and that of the church at the forefront of your conversations. Even so, know there will be a variety of interpretations of the vision, and as the leader, it is your job to chart the course for what comes next, make adjustments where they need to be made, and keep the ministry moving forward. But let’s be honest, there can be hurt feelings, attitudes, you name it, and all of it will be directed at you. Because you made the decision. Their words and attitude, may cut. And cuts hurt. But as leaders you must always pursue vision. It’s not personal. It is necessary.

  • Press in His Presence (0) June 28, 2013

When we minister in dance, offering up worship in motion to God the Father, when that worship is received, the atmosphere shifts, and those who are around us, especially those who have decide to worship with us, can catch a glimpse of His glory. His presence can be felt, and all things not like Him, that are unworthy of His presence, will be consumed. In His presence is fullness of joy. At His right hand are pleasures ever more.
