Our God is infinitely creative! I love being in His presence, allowing Him to pour ministry moves into me, knowing there is always more of Him and about Him, more ways to express His glory in motions of praise. I love the uniqueness that He created all of us to exhibit. I am so excited to see the differences He has blessed us with to serve His purpose.
How do you come up with choreography for your ministry?

1 Chronicles 29:13Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.
- Overextended (0) May 4, 2013
It is so very easy to get out of balance by over committing ourselves in ministry and life commitments. My sister often quotes to me from a book called “Women Who Do Too Much”. One thing she said to me was that in the multitude of multitasking, we are not able to excel at any one thing. We are in essence doing many things poorly. I am commissioned to search out those things that are nearest to my heart, that God has placed in me, to will and to do, and to decline all others. Just because it is a good idea doesn’t make it a God idea, and truly we know the difference… Burning both ends of the candle and the middle, doesn’t make your light shine brighter, it just leaves you with a puddle of wax.
This post is for me. Taking good advice.
- Topical Dances (0) May 3, 2013
You know how sometimes ministers have topics, subjects, or themes they would speak on for an extended amount of time? Are there dance ministries that do the same?
- Encouragement (0) May 2, 2013
It takes the same amount of time to issue praise as it does to issue a discouraging comment. Take some time to uplift another dancer, or ministry leader. Tell your music minister or pastor that you appreciate the work they are doing.
A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
- Music For Ministry (0) May 1, 2013
I am the kind of person that if I listen to a song long enough I begin to choreograph it. Yet many of the songs I listen to, and that may minister to me, never reach our ministry group. When choosing a song for ministry, I prayerfully consider the message in the song, the focus of our church ministry, whether it is God focused or self focused, is it encouraging, will it be an exhortation first to our group and then to those we will minister to, and if it falls in line with what our pastor is ministering on. Now that last part is tricky for a number of reasons. Foremost being, I have no clue WHAT our pastor will be teaching on any given Sunday. And since we minister only once every other month, trying in my own power to coordinate such a feat is impossible. So I trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit, and realize that just because a song is pretty or I have it on repeat does not make it fit for ministry for our group at this particular time…
- Praise Dance Expert (0) April 30, 2013
By no stretch of the imagination do we consider ourselves praise dance experts. Really does such a thing exist? There are however those who have been praise dancing for sometime and have different experiences, triumphs, and failures, to share. This blog, and site is our attempt to pool them together so that we can all be enriched. To receive encouragement in those things we are doing well, and exhortation in those things we can do better. After all, there is always another level of glory, to glory, to glory… to reach.
What excellent things do you do in your dance ministry?
- Good News Music (0) April 29, 2013
My favorite type of songs to minister to are God focused. Songs about His holiness, His righteousness, His love, His sacrifice. Songs that proclaim the good news of His unending affection and devotion towards us. I think maybe that is why I LOVE Christmas music so much. It removes the focus off of our present sufferings, and reminds us of the awesomeness of the wonderful worthy God we serve.
Do you have a type of song you tend to minister to most often?

2 Chronicles 5
13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord;
14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
- Prayer (0) April 27, 2013
…pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Everyday we pray for specific members of our group. If there is a need or concern, it is usually brought up during our group prayer in rehearsal, and on that persons particular day each member of the ministry, prays, standing in agreement with that persons request. It is awesome seeing God work in each of our lives, and watching confidence and unity grow in our group. It is also very difficult to hold onto strife when you are praying for someone, knowing they are also praying for you.
Prayer really does change things.
